Cause
Customer wanted to test their Connect:Direct 5.2 installation
Answer
To build a NETMAP for a test instance for a Connect:Direct 5.2 installation from a prior version of Connect:Direct, you will need to do the following:
(1) Unload a copy of your NETMAP from prior version of C:D. The JCL for the job to do this can be found in the following C:D libraries:
C:D z/OS 5.0 - $$CD.JCL, member JNETUNLD
C:D z/OS 5.1 and above - $$CD.SDGAJCL, member DGAJUNLD
(2) Update the unloaded copy of the NETMAP from the prior version of C:D to change the LOCAL.NODE and Local ADJACENT.NODE to a be something different from that used by prior version of C:D. Add an ADJACENT.NODE to unloaded copy of the NETMAP that points to your prior version of C:D.
(3) Load the updated unloaded copy of the NETMAP as your C:D 5.2 NETMAP. The JCL for the job to do this can be found in the following C:D libraries:
C:D z/OS 5.0 - $$CD.JCL, member JNETLOAD
C:D z/OS 5.1 and above - $$CD.SDGAJCL, member DGAJLOAD
(4) Update your prior version's C:D NETMAP to add an ADJACENT.NODE that points to your C:D 5.2 test instance.
