Setting specific language on login page based on browser

Troubleshooting

Problem

Can you set the login page from forms based login to display different languages based on the configured language in the browser?

Resolving The Problem

To get this to work, you need to install both the Policy Server Language Pack and WebSEAL Language Pack.

See this link.

When installing the language pack, these files loaded, the custom account management pages:
install_path/www/lib/html/locale_directory

For Example: (C = USA Default)

/opt/pdweb/www-default/lib/html/C

Depending on the language installed, the directory name will be different.

You need to make sure that the WebSEAL language pack is installed and the correct folder is in this directory.

**NOTE** If you already have an instance configured and install the language pack after the fact, we only create files in the template directory

/opt/pdweb/html.tivoli/lib/html

You will need to manually copy the files over to the instance directory.

Concerning the issue regarding setting the language in the browser, all WebSEAL is concerned with is the 'Accept-Language' header, if the browser sends this properly, WebSEAL will respond correctly.
