Setting the HTTP Admin to Autostart

Troubleshooting


Problem

This document provides the necessary steps to configure the HTTP Admin server to autostart.

Resolving The Problem

The HTTP Admin can be set to automatically start when the TCP is started with the STRTCP command. To configure the HTTP Admin server to autostart, you should do the following:
 
1. Access the HTTP Admin using the following URL, and log in using a valid i5/OS user ID and password.
  • http://<hostname>:2001/HTTPAdmin
  • Note: The above link is case-sensitive.
This will take you to the IBM Web Administration for i page
2. Select the Manage tab.
3. Select the HTTP Servers tab.
4. In the server drop-down box, select ADMIN - Apache.
5. In the left navigation pane select General Server Configuration.
6. In the right navigation pane, locate the autostart property and change the value in the drop-down box to Yes.
7. Select Apply and OK at the bottom of the page.
