Question

Is there a way to setup auto numbering for Job Plans?

Answer

Example:

1. Go To Database Configuration application and select the JOBPLAN object.

2. Select the Attributes tab and expand the details for the JPNUM attribute.

Note that the Can Autonumber checkbox is checked and is read-only.


3. Enter a value of &AUTOKEY& in the Default Value column for the JPNUM attribute.



4. Save
5. Log out of Maximo and shut down the MXServer.
6. Configure the database by running:
Configdb.bat from the Maximo\tools\maximo directory.
7. Restart the MXServer.

To set the autonumber seed:

1. Launch the Organizations application from the Administration module.
2. From the Select Action menu, select the Autonumber Setup option.
3. There are four options, System Level, Set Level, Organization Level and Site Level.
The JOBPLANNUM autonumber seed can be set at an System level.




4. Enter your seed value and a prefix (optional) and select OK.
