Setting up Auto Numbering Seed for Task Level Work Orders.

Troubleshooting


Problem

Some users prefer to have Maximo number the Task Work Orders from the activity numbering and not the work order numbering.

Resolving The Problem

Here is what you will need to do. You may want to backup your database
as you will need to run configdb.bat
1) Go to Database Configuration bring up the WOACTIVITY Object.
2) Go to the Attributes tab and search for WONUM
3) Expand the WONUM Attribute. In the Advanced section change the value
to be ACTIVITYNUM
4) In the details section enter &AUTOKEY& into the Default Value and
save
You should get a message that the ACTIVITYNUM autoseed does not exist
would you like to create it hit yes
5) Go to Organizations select action Autonumber setup Organization level
you should now see ACTIVITYNUM we recommend adding a prefix to the
autoseed.
6) Stop the webserver and run configdb.bat
7) Start your webserver and you should be all set.
