'Session error' when accessing the Secure Proxy Configuration Manager for the first time

Troubleshooting


Problem

Having just installed and started Sterling Secure Proxy, the following error is observed when accessing the Configuration Manager using Internet Explorer® for the first time:
'(!) Session Error
Invalid session, please sign in again. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator'

Symptom

This error message is output:
'(!) Session Error
Invalid session, please sign in again. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator'
You may also observe that the browser address bar in Internet Explorer® turns red, to indicate a security problem.
