A servlet NullPointerException occurs when calling a web service in IBM Business Process Manager (BPM)

Troubleshooting


Problem

After you upgrade to IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) V7.5.1 Fix Pack 1, you cannot run any web service or any WSDL in IBM Business Process Manager. Instead, you see a NullPointerException message in a browser.

Symptom

Usually, the issue is seen after a recent upgrade or installation of IBM Business Process Manager. When you try to open a WSDL, you see the following NullPointerException in a browser:
