Server Time Protocol - Split and Merge of CTN

White Papers

Abstract

Server Time Protocol (STP) with z14 servers at Driver 36 have the ability to split or merge Coordinated Timing Networks (CTNs) through the Hardware Management Console. These z14 GA2 enhancements are especially useful when a client is either divesting or merging companies and would prefer to not suffer a planned outage. This paper shows step-by-step how to accomplish both a split and a merge of CTNs.The author of this paper is Conor Proce in IBM Development/Test - cproce@us.ibm.com
