Problem
This document explains how to obtain the Server Firmware CD and use this to perform the Manufacturing Equipment Specification (MES) Upgrade.
Resolving The Problem
When upgrading server firmware using the MES option (as named prior to V4 R5.0 HMC level) or Upgrade Licensed Internal Code to a new release (as named V4 R5.0 and later HMC levels), refer to http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.nsf/recommendedfixes, then specify Server Firmware: Update Policy Set to HMC for applicable information.
