Question
Is it possible to send only certain types of reverse proxy message log messages to a syslog server?
Cause
We only want to monitor ERROR and FATAL messages.
Answer
This is possible by updating the Reverse Proxy Tracing Configuration File.
Steps are below:
1) Navigate in the LMI to https://appliance_hostname/wga/reverseproxy
2) Select instance.
3) Select Manage -> Configuration -> Edit Tracing Configuration File
4) Change as follows:
FATAL:STDERR:-
ERROR:STDERR:-
WARNING:UTF8FILE.5.50000:msg__instance-warning.log
5) Select Manage -> Configuration -> Edit Configuration File
6) Change as follows:
[logging]
server-log-cfg = rsyslog server=rsyslog.example.org=514,log_id=webseal-default
