Troubleshooting
Problem
InfoSphere Information Analyzer analysis settings failing with error while loading shared libraries:libodbc.so.1 : cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory .
Diagnosing The Problem
Test the .odbc.ini Data Source defined and used for the column analysis using the example utility.
- cd $DSHOME
- . ./dsenv
- cd ../branded_odbc/example
- ./example
- When prompted enter the DSN, username and password
Resolving The Problem
When testing with example program, if you determine that it is missing soft links expected for DataDirect drivers, you need to add the links.
Create the softlinks by issuing the following commands from the branded_odbc/lib directory:
ln -s libodbc.so libodbc.so.1
ln -s libodbcinst.so libodbcinst.so.1
