DESCRIPTION: IBM API Connect is vulnerable to an XML External Entity Injection (XXE) attack when processing XML data. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to expose highly sensitive information or consume memory resources.

The fix for V5.0.6 is not yet available. See the workaround to manually apply changes to remediate this vulnerability or upgrade to V5.0.7.1 or later.

Workarounds and Mitigations
On the DataPower appliance, in the CLI, issue the following commands:
1) switch apimanagement-domain-name
2) configure
3) xml parser limits webapi
4) external-references forbid
5) exit
6) write memory
