DESCRIPTION: Python is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by a divide-by-zero in the Wave_read._read_fmt_chunk function in Lib/wave.py. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted file, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the application to crash.

DESCRIPTION: CPython is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by an integer overflow in the PyString_DecodeEscape function in stringobject.c. By sending a specially-crafted request, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system.
