ISC BIND is vulnerable to this security vulnerability. IBM i has addressed this vulnerability.
DESCRIPTION: ISC BIND could allow a remote authenticated attacker to bypass security restrictions, caused by an error in the documentation of the 'update-policy' feature for the 'krb5-subdomain' and 'ms-subdomain' update policies. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to modify records in the zone at or below the name specified in the name field.

Affected Products and Versions
Releases 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 of IBM i are affected.
The issue can be fixed by applying a PTF to IBM i.
Releases 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 of IBM i are supported and will be fixed.
The IBM i PTF numbers are:
Release 7.1 – SI68705
Release 7.2 – SI68706
Release 7.3 – SI68707
Important note: IBM recommends that all users running unsupported versions of affected products upgrade to supported and fixed version of affected products.
