Searching for a User
A user is a person assigned with a certain role such asAdministrator or Customer Service Representative. Each user is associatedwith only one organization.
About this task
Only an Enterprise Administrator can search for a user viewthe details of the user and modify the subscriptions of the userto a user group.
Procedure
- Navigate to the Find User screen.To navigate to the Find User screen perform the following steps:
- Log in to Sterling Business Center asan Enterprise Administrator.
- From the System Setup Home pageexpand the Team and User Management menu andthen click Manage User.
The Find User screen is displayed. - In the Search Criteria panel enterthe first character of the user ID or enter the first name or thelast name of the user or a part the username. The application searchesfor all the user IDs that starts with the entered value.
- In the User Name Contains fieldenter the first character of the user ID or enter the first nameor the last name of the user or a part the username that you aresearching for. The application searches for all the user names thatcontain the entered value.
- From the Team drop-down list selectthe team that the user belongs to. The application searches for allusers that belong to the selected team.
- From the User Group drop-down listselect the user group that the user belongs to. The application searchesfor all users that belong to the selected user group.
- In the Status field select oneof the following radio buttons:
- Active: Select this option to locate onlythe active users that match the search criteria.
- Inactive: Select this option to locateonly the inactive users that match the search criteria.
- Either: Select this option to locate allusers that match the search criteria irrespective of their status.
- From the Order By drop-down listselect the required option to sort the search results in either anascending or a descending order of the user ID.
- Click Search. The user ID username and team of the users matching your search criteria are displayedin the Search Results panel.
Notes: - You can enter either any one or multiple search criteria. If yousearch for a user without entering any search criteria all the usersregistered in the system are displayed.
- If the search result contains a large number of users the searchresults are displayed in multiple pages. To view the search resultsacross the multiple pages click the Navigate Previous iconto navigate to the previous page and click the NavigateNext icon to navigate to the next page.
- You can also determine the number of search results that are displayedon each page by selecting a value from the Results perpage drop-down list. The available values are 152550 and 100.
