Problem

SDE9700I SMS DYNAMIC ALLOCATION ERROR

Symptom

SDE9700I Error SMS DYNAMIC ALLOCATION error. An error was detected while C:D was trying to dynamically allocate a file. SDE035CI Error Invalid PARM specified in text unit. This dynamic allocation error may be issued when there is an invalid data set name being passed for allocation.

Cause

User ID is trying to create file with a HLQ it does not have the necessary
authority to create.

Resolving The Problem

Ensure the userid has the authority to create the high level qualifier needed, submit the process under user ID that has the necessary authority, or change HLQ of data set to be created to one that this User ID has authority for.
