Script command failure against PowerBuilder application

Troubleshooting


Problem

At playback an IBM® Rational® Robot GUI script a script command failure might occur. You playback against a PowerBuilder (PB) 9 or PB 10.5 DataWindow

Symptom

The full message is as follows:


    Script command failure: Object was found, but was not visible within its parent
Robot issues the script command failure error, when the script manipulates a PB DataWindow.

    DataWindow Click, "Name=dw_1;\;Name=e_text", ""

You do not get a script command failure when you leave the recorded coordinates.

On DataWindow Click, "Name=dw_1;\;Name=e_text", "Coord=22,86"

Resolving The Problem

This issue has been identified as a product defect and has been logged under APAR PK72090.
