SBI Cluster Nodes show either "Node went down" or "Node is inactive"

Troubleshooting


Problem

In a clustered Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI) environment running on a Virtual Machine (VM), some of the nodes periodically display the status of "Node went down" or "Node is inactive". The frequency can range from once a day to once a week to once every several weeks.

Symptom

Operations > System > Cluster screen shows that one or more nodes have a status of "Node went down" or "Node is inactive"

Business Process (BP) status shows "Resource unavailable"



"Possibly node is down" message seen in the logs
