Can a record be saved when a user enters into another tab?
In this example, the Purchase Order application will be used when clicking on the PO Lines tab, the Purchase Order will be saved.
Then when the PO Lines tab is clicked, the PO isn't saved:
To enabled the automatic saving, Go To – System Configuration – Platform Configuration – Application Designer – Access the PO application. Export the PO.XML. Create a backup of the PO.XML. Open the PO.XML within a text editor, find the following: (tab id=”polines”)
Add ="save" to the tab id line:
Save the modified PO.XML. Import the modified PO.XML within Application Designer. Sign out of Maximo – Close Browser – Sign back into Maximo. Go To – Purchasing – Purchase Orders – Create a new Purchase Order. Fill in the required information. Click on the PO Lines tab. The PO will then be automatically saved:
Then the following will appear when the PO Lines tab is clicked.
* Please note that the orange message within the Navigation Bar will not appear within this configuration: 'BMXAA4205I - Record has been saved.'
