Satellite Endpoints do not support SQL named instances

Troubleshooting


Problem

UI/fields which are available when creating the Satellite Endpoint do not include/allow to specify the SQL Server Instance name.

Symptom

In Satellite Endpoint, the available fields are:

  • Name
  • Server host
  • Server port
  • ODBC Driver
  • Database name
It is not possible to use <server>\<instance> or <server>:<instance> format.
