IBM Support

SAP HANA restore of a tenant database fails to find the backups.

Troubleshooting

Problem

The Data Protection for SAP HANA cannot locate the objects for the tenant MDC database restore, HANA appears to be requesting the object using an incorrect path name.

Symptom

The hdbbackint fails with #NOTFOUND when attempting to retrieve the object./usr/sap/DEV/SYS/global/hdb/backint/COMPLETE_DATA_BACKUP_DEV_databackup_0_1

The objects that exist on the IBM Spectrum Protect Server are named:
/usr/sap/DEV/SYS/global/hdb/backint/DB_DEV/COMPLETE_DATA_BACKUP_DEV_databackup_0_1
Note the additional DB_DEV in the name. If HANA would ask for this filename the restore would be successful.
