SAP HANA log backup is failing on Index Server

Troubleshooting

Problem

The log backups for only the indexserver are failing; the contentserver and xsengine archives are being backed up, and the nightly full online HANA backup is also successful.

Symptom

After the SAP HANA server encountered a full filesystem for the logs, then even though the full condition  is corrected, the log backups for the IndexServer continue to fail with the error:
  • "Not all data could be written: Expected xxxxxxxxx but transferred 0"
