Problem
This technote identifies an issue that may occur in IBM® Rational® RequisitePro® "Runtime Error: system primitive failed". This error only occurs when a user attempts to set Microsoft® Word 2003. Microsoft Word 2003 was not supported by RequisitePro until version 2003.06.12 and later.
Cause
The cause of the error "Runtime Error: system primitive failed" is that your current version of RequisitePro does not support Microsoft Word 2003. RequisitePro version 2003.06.12 and later introduced support for Microsoft Word version 2003.
Resolving The Problem
Upgrade RequisitePro to version 2003.06.12 or later for Word 2003 support.
