RunTests exits with "JVM terminated. Exit code=143"

Troubleshooting

Problem

Tests that are run on the command line with IBM Rational Integration Tester (RIT) terminate abnormally.

Symptom

During a long test run, RunTests exits for no apparent reason.

The standard output of the RunTests command ends with the following message:

RunTests:




JVM terminated. Exit code=143

This is followed by the Java launch options.
