Question & Answer
Question
What is the difference between the two following user settings in LDAP authentication setup?
See screenshot below:
1) set "Guest User = No User" and "User Template = guest"

2) set "Guest User = guest" and "User Template = No User"

Answer
Here are the differences:
For the first setup,
- Local user guest is automatically disabled.
- The ldap user will be automatically added to user management list when first login, and inherit the guest user permission.
- The user will see his LDAP username after login.
For the second setup,
- Local user guest has to be enabled.
- The ldap user will not be added to user management list.
- The user will see he login as guest.
