Resolving The Problem
This document provides instructions on restricting Management Central features on a Management Central Central System using IBM i Access for Windows - System i Navigator.
The following instructions can be used to grant and deny access to Management Central functionality for some or all functions:
1. Start IBM i Access for Windows - System i Navigator.
2. Right click the Management Central server and select Application Administration:

3. Select Applications on the bottom right of the Application Administration window.
4. Select Management Central from the Applications window and select the Add button. Then, select OK to return to the Application Administration window.
5. Select Inventory followed by the Customize button. Select and Add the Users, or Groups, you would like to allow Management Central access and the Users, or Groups, you would like to deny Management Central access. You must de-select the check mark from Users with all object system privilege:

6. Right click the Inventory function and select Copy Access Settings. Doing this will allow you to paste the settings from the Inventory function to the rest of the functions, or for the specific functions you would like to grant or restrict access:

7. Right click Management Central and select Paste to add the same access customization from Inventory to all of the other functions.
8. Once the access has been completed for all of the functions, the Application Administration window may appear similar to the image below:

9. If you removed complete access, the user will not be able to expand the system to use any of the Management Central functionality the next time a user logs into the Management Central Central System:

Note: To restrict access on each Management Central Central System, the above steps must be performed on each system.
