How to specify file specification when restoring or retrieving files using the TSM client command line
Answer
The following file spec format could be used to perform restore, retrieve, or query data on the TSM server from the TSM dsmc command line:
"{\\server_name\drive$}\directory\*" -sub=y
The * could be substituted with the standard file_name.extension, like in the following examples.
Examples:
dsmc q archive "{\\server_name\drive$}\directory\*" -sub=y
dsmc restore "{\\server_name\drive$}\directory\my_file.doc"
