Problem
Tired of getting errors when running $INFORMIXDIR/etc/buildsmi? Then try these methods to aviod common problems when rebuilding sysmaster.
Symptom
If any of the following are running:
- Connection Manager running.
- dbscheduler running
- ER running
- HDR running
- or a user process is connected to sysmaster
Then the $INFORMIXDIR/etc/buildsmi script could hang, or return this error:
425: Database is currently opened by another user.
107: ISAM error: record is locked.
