Reporting framework won't generate on AIX due to libcrypto.so errors

Troubleshooting


Problem

When trying to generate the OpenPages reporting framework on an AIX reporting server, the process may fail, and the script-player-error.log will contain errors like the following:
Could not load program /opt/OP/IBM/cognos/analytics/bin/BmtScriptPlayer:
rtld: 0712-001 Symbol strcat was referenced from module ./libCAM_Crypto_Interface.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found.
rtld: 0712-001 Symbol strcpy was referenced from module ./libCAM_Crypto_Interface.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found.
rtld: 0712-001 Symbol strcmp was referenced from module ./libCAM_Crypto_Interface.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found.
rtld: 0712-001 Symbol strncpy was referenced from module ./libCAM_Crypto_Interface.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found.
rtld: 0712-001 Symbol bcopy was referenced from module ./libCAM_Crypto_Interface.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found.
