Problem
Using Application Designer, it is possible to create Power, Single Page & Self Service Applications.
Power Applications are like Work Order Tracking, with multiple tabs, an Actions Menu and a toolbar on top.
Single Page applications are much simpler page applications like Labor Reporting.
Self Service Applications are like Desktop Requisition or Self Service Requests.
With Power applications, you can enable reports by adding the following under Select Actions in Application Designer.
- Add RUNREPORTS to the Signature Options
- Add RUNREPORTS under Select Actions
- Add RUNREPORTS under Add / Modify Toolbar
You need to add some reports to the new application in Report Administration and grant access through Report Administration.
The Run Reports Actions and Direct Print toolbar icons will then display in the new application.
The same is not true with Single Page Applications.
By following the same steps, you can access reports from Select Actions / Run Reports, however the Direct Print icons are not available from the Single Page Applications.
With Self Service applications, there is no way to launch reports, either from Select Actions/Run Reports or Direct Print.
It is not related to custom applications, but you cannot run reports from any Work Center applications either.
