Known issues
- Python extension commands such as
SPSSINC CREATE DUMMIES,SPSSINC_GETURI, andFUZZYcannot be completed in syntax editor. The same commands work without issues when you run these from the menu. - Installation fails when you try to install Normality Analysis procedure in MacOS:
Analyze>Descriptive Statistics>Normality Analysis. - Python3 for SPSS Statistics app icon disappears after it is opened. Instead, the Xquartz icon appears.
- Linux users are not able to change locale in
Languagetab under Edit > Options. - R and Python programs are compatible with RHEL 9 and above. If you use RHEL 8 or earlier versions, you may experience compatibility issues or failures when running R or Python-based scripts or any dependent services.
- STATS_TEXTANALYSIS and PLS Extension need update.
- In platforms other than Windows, OMS export to PDF, Excel, and Word fails.
- Inconsistencies in translations are present in a few sections of the UI.
Workaround for issue with Locale settings when you connect to linux server
The issue is seen if you use linux servers with RHEL version 8.0 and above. Starting with RHEL 8, Red Hat delivers locales through language-specific packages. Therefore, administrators must explicitly install or generate any non-default locales.
