Reinitializing the DSNX Environment on the IBM OS/400 or IBM i5/OS System

Troubleshooting

Problem

This document shows the DSNX reinitialization process.

Resolving The Problem

To reinitialize the DSNX environment on the IBM® OS/400® or IBM® i5/OS® system, do the following:

1Vary off the SNUF device.
2End the QDSNX subsystem. If the SNUF device runs under another subsystem (for example, QINTER), that subsystem should also be ended.
3Delete the QDSNX library.
4Issue the following command:

CALL QDXINST ('1' ' ')

Note: The space is after the '1' and within the second set of ' '. This CALL is passing two parameters, a '1' and a ' ' (space).
5Start the QDSNX subsystem and the SNUF device subsystem, if different.
6Vary on the SNUF device.
