Troubleshooting
Problem
When running a setup installation of Microsoft Windows 2003 Service Pack 1 on Windows 2003 for IBM Scalable Datacenter Solution, you will receive an error message. The installation is blocked unless the customer provides a special registry key.

Note: The Service Pack 1 must not be applied to the IBM High Availability (HA) Datacenter Solution. Customers need the Maintenance Pack 1 for the HA Datacenter Solution. They must purchase the Update Subscription for their HA solution to receive the MP1 from IBM. They can "search" the web for "update subscription" for more information on this offering.

| Solution |

- Go to Start -> Run .
- Type " Regedit " and press Enter .
- Navigate to: " HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows Server 2003 ".
- Right click and choose New -> DWORD Value.
- Name the new registry key: " DTCUpdate ".
- Double click DTCUpdate and set its " Value data: " to " 1 ".
- Reboot the server.
