Recording a TPTP Test yields Error: RPTO0029E and "internal error during: Test Editor Error Checker"

Troubleshooting


Problem

When IBM Rational Performance Tester (RPT) attempts to record a TPTP test, you see the error messages The Recording contains NO Protocol Data" and "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException".

Symptom

The full error message is as follows:

!MESSAGE RPTO0029E The Recording contains NO Protocol Data for any installed Test Generator

Unexpectedly the tool's user interface also contains a view TPTP Recorder Control.

You cannot start HTTP recording. The only option you have is URL recorder.
