Troubleshooting
Problem
This technote identifies an issue that can occur in IBM Rational ClearQuest Web. A "Record is already being edited by this session" error occurs incorrectly when working with records.
Symptom
Preforming an action and trying to save the record using ClearQuest Web results in this error:
CRVAP0200E Record cq.repo.cq-record:12345678/34323456@Production/Dbset is already being edited by this session.Cause
This issue is identified as a product defect under APAR PM25092.
Diagnosing The Problem
You will also see the following error in the CM server logs:

Resolving The Problem
This defect is fixed starting in versions 7.1.1.4 and 7.1.2.1. Upgrade to the latest version to resolve this problem.
