IBM Support

Receiving the message 'REQUEST_LIMIT_EXCEEDED' while using salesforce.com outbound activities with Cast Iron

Troubleshooting

Problem

While executing an orchestration on the appliance which has salesforce.com activities, you receive the message 'REQUEST_LIMIT_EXCEEDED'

Symptom

The API call limits are against the total count of all API calls made in a 24 hour period. When the API limit is reached, users will be blocked from making additional API calls. The API calls will be reset after 24 hours based on FIFO (First In First Out)

Cause

The number of API calls has exceeded either the concurrent request limit or the request rate limit for your organization.

Resolving The Problem

Resetting the API limit would be a function of Salesforce.com support and not IBM Cast Iron support.
