Reading from Sybase IQ table using convert function fails: data type conversion is not possible.

Troubleshooting

Problem

When reading from a Sybase IQ table using SQLTerm and the SELECT contains a convert function e.g. convert(date,birthdate) as birth_date, the query fails with an error.

Symptom

1. ERROR
DM-DBM-0400 UDA driver reported the following on connection DELOTTO_DW:
UDA-SQL-0107 A general exception has occurred during the operation "fetch".
