Problem
Exchange database backup from DAG node failed due to following error: ANS1532E (RC5722) Proxy Rejected: Proxy authority has not been granted
Cause
The DAG node is missing the proxy node relationship for either the Backup Archive client node or the Data Protection node.
Resolving The Problem
First check the Data Protection for Exchange configuration file (the default file name is tdpexec.cfg) and verify if the DAGnode parameter is set. If yes, then a proxy relationship is required for this DAG node. The following Grant Proxynode commands should be run on the Tivoli Storage Manager Server:
- grant proxynode target=DAG_node agent=backup_archive_client_node
- grant proxynode target=DAG_node agent=data_protection_node
