Abstract

This document describes how to download and assemble IBM® Rational® Performance Tester (RPT) Version 8.0 for Microsoft® Windows® and Linux®, using the Passport Advantage Online Web

Download Description

New in Release 8.0

  • Running tests and viewing summary results from IBM Rational Quality Manager is supported.
  • The test lab management feature of IBM Rational Quality Manager is supported.
  • A new Streamlined Eclipse interface has been added to improve usability for new users. The Full Eclipse interface is still available.
  • HTTP tests now support the Kerberos protocol for authentication.
  • A larger volume of performance measurements can be collected.
  • Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) is supported on HTTP, Siebel, SIP, SOA, and socket protocols.
  • Datapools can now be encrypted.
  • Links inside test assets are managed automatically.
  • The Rational Performance Tester Extension for SIP supports the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and the tel Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) scheme.
