IBM Rational DOORS and DOORS Web Access 188.8.131.52 has been made generally available and contains fixes to version 9.6.1.

Java is no longer included in the Rational DOORS client installation. This component is a prerequisite for installation. See Detailed System Requirements for Rational DOORS for more information.
Rational DOORS uses Java for the help system and for document generation with Rational Publishing Engine. You must install a 64-bit version of Java, which can be obtained from Oracle or IBM. See the installation instructions associated with your Java download. After installing, verify that your system has an JAVA_HOME environment variable that is set to the JRE install path; for example:
Review the Version compatibility for Rational DOORS Web Access, interoperation server, Rational DOORS database server and client document prior to installation to ensure the client and server compatibility requirements are met in your environment.
The Rational DOORS 9.6.1 client and interoperation server support 64-bit Windows. There is no support for 32 bit.
The Rational DOORS Web Access 9.6.1 server supports 64-bit Windows and Linux. There is no support for 32 bit.
All other Rational DOORS components are 32 bit. You can install 32-bit Rational DOORS components on a supported 64-bit Windows platform. See system requirements for a list of supported platforms.
Rational DOORS 9.6.1 and Rational DOORS Web Access 9.6.1 do not support Solaris.
The Rational DOORS kit for ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 has been updated for Rational DOORS 9.6.1.
The integrations with IBM Rational Rose and IBM Rational ClearCase and not supported in Rational DOORS 9.6.1.

Passport Advantage and Passport Advantage Express clients are required to sign in to download the software package. If you are entitled for Rational DOORS and need to download your software from Passport Advantage, perform the following steps:
- Logon to Passport Advantage.
- Select Software Downloads and Media Access.
- Select the Download Finder.
- Select Find by description or part number.
- Select the Product Description and All radio buttons and enter Rational DOORS in the description field.
- Select Continue.
- Expand the eAssemblies and you will see your entitled software.
