Does IBM Rational ClearQuest support Microsoft Windows 7 as a client operating system?
Cause
The Detailed System Requirements for Rational ClearQuest 7.x state which operating systems are supported but do not provide the details that follow.
Answer
Rational ClearQuest 7.1.x
Support for Windows 7 was introduced in Rational ClearQuest 7.1.1 with certain known issues and limitations.
- When installing Rational ClearQuest 7.1.1 on Windows 7, IBM Installation Manager will warn that the operating system is unsupported:
You are attempting to install on an unsupported operating system.
You can ignore this warning and continue to install the product. This issue is fixed in Rational ClearQuest 7.1.1.1 and later versions.
- Rational ClearQuest 7.1.1 clients are supported on Windows 7 only with User Account Control (UAC) turned off. Support for using Rational ClearQuest with User Account Control turned on is available in 7.1.2 and later versions.

- Rational ClearQuest 7.1.1 clients are only supported on Windows 7 only with Bitlocker turned off. Support for using Rational ClearQuest with Bitlocker turned on is available in 7.1.2 and later versions.

Rational ClearQuest 7.0.x
Rational ClearQuest 7.0.x does not support Microsoft Windows 7.
