Prerequisites

Prerequisites include:
This interim fix release is non-cumulative having only the signed applet. This interim fix has no dependency on any iFix or fixpack of 5.3.1, so this can be installed on 5.3.1 or on any patch level of 5.3.1.

Installation Instructions

Installing Interim Fix:
1. Log in to the machine where Rational Change is installed as the user who installed Rational Change.
2. Take the backup of <CHANGE_HOME>/trapeze/cscmapplet.jar file.
3. Unzip (Windows) or untar (UNIX) the patch file to any directory outside the Change installation area. The resultant directory will have the name rc<patch version>.
4. Copy cscmapplet.jar file from rc<patch version> directory to '<CHANGE_HOME>/trapeze' folder.
5. After the patch installation is successful, stop and start Rational Change Server.

Un-installing Interim Fix
1. The patch can be un-installed by overwriting new cscmapplet.jar by backed up cscmapplet.jar (See Point#2 of Installing Interim Fix section) file.
2. Stop and start Rational Change Server.

This is a maintenance release. It contains applet signed with new certificate.

Effective October 14, 2016, digital certificate used to sign Applet jar in IBM Rational Change is being revoked. Additional information about this issue is available in IBM Security Notice Regarding Code Signing Certificates.
