Prerequisites


The following must be installed and operational before installing this iFix:
Rational Change 5.3
Rational Change 5.3.0.3
Rational Synergy Interim Fix 2 for 7.2.0.2

Installation Instructions

  1. Login to the machine where Rational Change is installed as the user who installed Rational Change.
  2. Unzip (Windows) or untar (UNIX) the patch file into <CHANGE_APP_HOME>/WEB-INF/packages. The resultant directory will have the name "rc<patch version>".

    For example, on UNIX:
    $ cd <CHANGE_APP_HOME>/WEB-INF/packages
    $ tar xvf <file path>
  3. Login to Rational Change as Admin, and click the "System Administration link" in the action panel.
  4. Click on the "Package Installer" tab, select the patch package from the "Available Packages" listbox, and click the "Install" button.
  5. Stop and start Rational Change.

Uninstalling the iFix:

If it is necessary to remove the patch after it was installed, follow these steps.
  1. Login to Rational Change as Admin, and click the "System Administration" link in the action panel.
  2. Click on the "Package Installer" tab, select the patch package from the "Installed Packages" listbox, and click the "Uninstall" button.
  3. Stop and start Rational Change.

Impact Description
This release is a maintenance release of 5.3.0.3. It contains critical security fixes, support to integration server rename and OSLC consumer capability.

Change History

This iFix supports renaming of any server in integration (OSLC or Sync server) with Rational Change by updating the old URL references of the renamed server in the database. For more details on this feature, refer to Updating references to an integration server that was renamed .

The iFix also has fixes to some of the security issues and enables OSLC consumer capability in Rational Change.
