Problem
IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software cannot launch an external web browser.
Symptom
When an external web browser is selected, Rational Application Developer cannot launch it and shows the following error:
This problem occurs with Firefox, Internet Explorer and any other user defined external browser installed in the operating system.
The image below shows Firefox and Internet Explorer as external web browsers.
You will not experience this problem when using the Internal Web Browser, Default system web browser, and Firefox with Firebug (if Firefox is installed).
