Multisite Custom Roll-ups

Key Details:

  • Custom Rollup Reports can only be created and managed in the Global Client ID.

  • They are included for all Clients as part of the IBM Digital Analytics Multisite product offering.

  • Custom Rollup Reports provide a way for you to ?aggregate your Sites metric data based on shared characteristics/attributes.

  • As a prerequisite to creation Site Attributes need to be defined in the Admin section of IBM Digital Analytics. Subsequently they can be used to create the Custom Rollup reports in IBM Digital Analytics Multisite.

Worked Example:?
A Business which has almost 10 different Brands spread across various Countries and Geographic regions wishes to roll up those sites based on the Brand Country and/or Geographic region combinations.


Configuration of the Custom Rollup report involves:?

  • Creating Site Attributes: Create up to 5 Site Attributes e.g. Country Brand Geographic Region

  • Populate the Site Attribute Values: Update the Site Attribute values for each Site Alias by specifying any common values where needed.?

  • Create Custom Rollup Reports: Using the Site Attributes created in Admin define the hierarchy for this report using the Site Attributes.


[E.g. The business created 3 attributes: Geographic Region Country & Site Alias as Multiple Sites shared common values for those attributes.

Reporting:
In order to create valuable Rollup Reports please make sure multiple Site Attributes are defined for all your Sites in your IBM Digital Analytics Multisite Implementation (e.g. Brand Country etc)


Global ID Reporting:
To create your own Custom Rollup within the Global ID follow these steps:

  • Manage?>?Report Options?>?Site Rollups.

  • Click ?New Report?

  • Define the hierarchy for this report by dragging attributes from the?Available Attributes?list to the levels in the?Selected Attributes?list as shown above.
    [E.g. The business then created a custom roll up report as shown below]

Business Interpretation & Value:
A Business can benefit by being able to analyse the performance of a group of Sites which belong to the same Geographical Region or Country as an example.

Additional Business Use Case Examples:
Analyse the performance of your unique brands across different Geographic regions broken down to Countries.

Note: By deafult there are 5 attributes available for all IBM Digital Analytics Multiste Clients
