Abstract

The MIRROR_COMPARE_LIBRARY procedure returns a result table and an optional result set containing one or more rows for the library and for each object in the specified library that is different from the same object on the other node.

For each object being compared, comparison operations can be performed for the definitional attributes of the object, the data contained in the object, or both. Only *DTAQ, *FILE, *OUTQ, *USRIDX, and *USRSPC objects support data comparisons. A value of YES or QUICK must be specified for at least one of the compare-attributes or compare-data parameters.

Enhanced with IBM i 7.5 - [SF99951 Level 7 and SF99950 Level 8] & IBM i 7.4 - [SF99668 Level 25 and SF99704 Level 29]:

  • Add the optional OBJECT_TYPE_LIST parameter that identifies the mirrored or non-mirrored objects in a library to compare.
  • Add an INCLUSION_STATE column to the result file that contains the comparison results.
  • This enhancement requires an active version for the COMPARE-SERVICES version entry of at least 1.4 to fully enable. See COMPARE-SERVICES version entry for more details.

Enhanced with IBM i 7.5 - [SF99951 Level 6 and SF99950 Level 7]:

  • Compare the RESTRICT ON DROP attribute introduced in IBM i 7.5 for SQL functions, procedures, and table database objects.
  • This enhancement requires an active version for the COMPARE-SERVICES version entry of at least 1.3 to fully enable. See COMPARE-SERVICES version entry for more details.

Enhanced with IBM i 7.5 - [SF99951 Level 5 and SF99950 Level 5] & IBM i 7.4 - [SF99668 Level 23 and SF99704 Level 26]:

  • MIRROR_COMPARE_LIBRARY procedure enhanced to improve performance and serviceability of comparisons.
  • Compare the FILE_LEVEL_ID attribute for replicated database objects.
  • Compare the internal attribute used by Db2 Mirror that indicates that replicated database objects contain rows with tracked changes.
  • This enhancement requires an active version for the COMPARE-SERVICES version entry of at least 1.2 to fully enable. See COMPARE-SERVICES version entry for more details.

Enhanced with IBM i 7.5 Base & IBM i 7.4 - [SF99668 Level 19 and SF99704 Level 20]:

  • Modified the authorization required by the MIRROR_COMPARE_LIBRARY procedure to require *ALLOBJ special authority.
  • Compare AUTHORITY_LIST, AUTHORITY_LIST_MANAGEMENT, and PRIMARY_GROUP attributes for replicated database objects.

Enhanced with IBM i 7.4 - [SF99668 Level 11 and SF99704 Level 14]:

  • MIRROR_COMPARE_LIBRARY procedure enhanced to support comparisons of *USRIDX, *USRSPC, and *DTAQ object types.
