QPWRRSTIPL looses its value and the system doesn't restart automatically

Question & Answer

Question

Why does the system value QPWRRSTIPL value reset from 1 to 0?

Answer

The system value QPWRRSTIPL specifies whether to allow auto-restart when a power failure occurs or not. Setting this system value to 1 will allow the system to auto-restart when a power failure does occur.

After a successful auto-restart has occurred after a power failure, the system value will be reset back to 0. The system value has been designed this way to prevent the system from going down several times if there is a power issue.
