QILANM3601 controller description can cause some problems with the system. QILANM3601 is no longer supported and should be deleted.
You may see that the Error Received on the CHGNETA in this situation is CPD0916 - Changes not allowed when APPC controllers varied on.
QILANM3601 on the system can possibly prevent making any changes to NETA (System Name, HPRIP, CPNAME, RMTLOCNAME, ANYNET). If QILANM3601 exists on the system, it can also cause the following FFDC error: 5722 f/#msutil flds/ixptn80 which is not currently fixed. APAR closed UR1.
The APAR MA39431 noted the steps:
Delete CTLD QILANM3601 or do not vary the CTLD on, at IPL. (This is an ILAN CTLD for Super 36, which is not used or supported anymore.)
Note: It may require an IPL after the deletion of this controller to run the command CHGNETA successfully.
