Question & Answer
Question
How do I view a DSA output when the DSA parse website is not available?
Cause
Sometimes the DSA log parsing site is unavailable
Answer
1 - Run the DSA executable to collect the DSA output from the host
2 - Place the DSA output into a directory on your local client along with the same DSA executable version used to collect the DSA output.
3 - Run the DSA executable against the collected DSA output using the following syntax:
<dsa-package> -v -x -i <path>\<output_file>.xml.gz
This will create a folder with the machine type and serial along with the html directory structure in the following directories:
Linux: /var/log/IBM_Support/
Windows C:\IBM_Support
Look for the folder with the corresponding machine type and serial. Inside that folder will be a file named "index.html". Open the "index.html" in your browser and you will be able to view the parsed DSA output minus any features that would be available in the online parser.
