Resolving The Problem
A program maintenance strategy is recommended for all IBM System i system users. Establishing a maintenance strategy may reduce the impact to System i system operations that result from unplanned outages or program failures. Due to the broad range of customer environments, a single recommendation may not apply to all situations. It is the responsibility of the user to evaluate the operating system operations, identify an appropriate strategy, and apply scheduled maintenance to achieve optimal system performance and availability.
